Allocated ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Allocated mobile application.

Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use Allocated:

• Account information — email address, username, and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth)
• Date of birth — collected solely to verify you are 21 years of age or older
• Location data — your device's GPS location, used only to detect nearby NC ABC stores when you open the Spot screen. Location is not stored or shared.
• Sighting data — bourbon bottle sightings you choose to post, including store name, bottle name, and optional notes
• Push notification token — to send you alerts when bottles on your watchlist are spotted
• Device information — basic device data collected by Expo/React Native for push notification delivery

How We Use Your Information

• To operate and improve the Allocated app and its features
• To verify you meet the minimum age requirement of 21 years
• To send push notifications about bourbon sightings relevant to your watchlist
• To display your sightings and username to other app members
• To detect nearby ABC stores using your device's location

Information Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Your information may be shared only in the following limited circumstances:

• Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Data is stored securely with row-level security enabled.
• Expo — used for push notification delivery
• Google Maps / Places API — used for venue search when logging bar or restaurant sightings. Only your search query is sent, not your precise location.
• Legal requirements — if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users

Age Restriction

Allocated is intended for users who are 21 years of age or older. We collect date of birth during onboarding to verify age eligibility. Users under 21 are not permitted to use this app.

Data Retention

We retain your account information and sighting history for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at support@getallocated.app.

Location Data

Allocated requests access to your device's location to automatically detect nearby NC ABC stores when you log a sighting. Location data is processed on-device and is not stored on our servers or shared with third parties.

Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission, secure authentication via Supabase, and row-level security policies on all database tables. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Opt out of push notifications at any time via your device settings

Children's Privacy

Allocated is not directed to individuals under the age of 21. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
